Appendicitis or what?

I am having sudden bouts of pain in my lower right abdomen right where the appendix is. I had to go to the doctor a few days ago because it got so bad, I was doubled over and couldn't move. The doctor checked my white blood cell count and everything and everything came back normal. The pain isn't nearly as bad but it comes and goes a lot. I have a little bit of a cold but I do have a fever and loss of appetite. I'm not nauseated or vomiting but my temp. is 100.4 and sometimes it's lower and sometimes it gets a little higher. I keep telling myself it's not appendicitis but I'm so scared! It hurts a little but it comes and goes. When I press on it, it's tender. When I let go, it's either worse or better. It alternates. It's not sensitive all the time but how would I know if it was appendicitis? What are some more signs? Will I be ok?!?! Please help.... I'm really scared.
