No, i don't think you stole him in any way. this mackenzie girl sounds like a really annoying possessive person no offense. You need to sit her down (even though it may be awkward) and tell her the reasons you didn't steal him from her. Since you're her friend, i'd say it's also your place to give her advice for future relationships. you might want to let her know that clingy girls are a HUGE turn off for guys. all the facebook messaging convincing him to date her was probably the reason he DIDN'T want to date her. I can understand her making this mistake since she's still young but for future reference, she needs to know that desperation and clinginess isn't cute. It's creepy. By explaining this to her, it could even boost her self confidence because she might think "oh so there's nothing wrong with me physically (since that's what girls usually worry about) it was just that i was being too clingy, that's why he ended up liking my friend instead.
