How many think we should let The auto makers go bankrupt? Please explain how you feel.?

We shouldn't let them go bust. What we SHOULD do is bail them out, but attach stipulations to the bailout money like the Govt did with Chrysler in 1978. They need to require them to quit screwing around with big gas guzzling beasts and concentrate on economic cars, future technologies, etc. Chrysler had a really good turbine engine car they were ready to come out with that could run on everything from gas to diesel to tequila. In 78 the govt bailed them out and then told them to abandon that car. Now we need to require them to develop it and come out with it, make them all concentrate on hybrids, electric cars, etc. so we can get off foreign oil and quit damaging the environment.
