How do you place your chopsticks or fork when youre done with your dim sum meal?

Is it across the bowl in front, from 9 to 3? And do you put the rice on the plate, or do you eat it in the bowl, placing the meat on top? The latter is pretty hard to balance. One more: how you drink the dang tea without burning your hands. Burning is an exaggeration, but the cup is always hot with the tea inside. Yes I wait before drinking, but the cup is still hot. Thats what my last question is directed to. What is the proper way of holding the tea cup?
