What are good birthday/gift/party ideas for 12 year olds?

For your step-daughter you can go to a fancy dinner place with her cousin and bestie. For you step-son you can go to lazerstorm if you live near one or boomers if you live near one. Boomers has laser tag, go carts, amusement park, roller coasters, arcade, video games, play area, mini golf, batting cages, ect. You could also just go to a nearby laser tag place or paintball area if you don't live near lazerstorm or boomers.
