What's Your Opinion on These Dogs?

I have a GSD and he is the sweetest thing in the world to my little baby. Definately not aggressive at all, in fact he's kind of a puss. The other night I took him out into the yard to relieve himself and he thought he saw something across the street, so he started growling and then backed up behind me and continued to growl and bark at it from a safe place behind me, lol. I think it's just all in how the owners handle the dog and breeding has a factor in it as well. Plus just individual personality of the dog. My husband used to raise pitbulls and he never had a single pitbull get crazy with anyone other than one time when another pitbull attacked his pitbull, then he actually got a bit crazy with the other dog, but that's to be expected.
