first, you need to take him to another specialist, and have him tested. some disabilities can present similar symptoms of ADHD. next, try going to a homeopath (alternative medicine) specialist. they have natural remedies that do the same thing as ritalin or adderall, but without the extreme mood swings. also, to let him burn off energy, if you have a large backyard, find some fun, easy activities that require a lot of energy, and let him loose. make sure you watch him though, so that he doesn't run away and/or get hurt.
