Blood Transfusion?

After a blood transfusion, does the persons blood stay in your body forever? Also, are you at any higher risk for developing certain diseases over your lifetime because of recieving somebody elses blood? I am just curious because I have had numerous blood transfusions during surgeries I had from ages 3days to 18 years old.
