Is it hopeless to keep chasing my guy friend?

hello, well if he is your friend like you say, you never lose hope for a friend. friends are there for each other no matter what, and from what I just read I think he is just trying to forget and distract himself from his ex girl. dont think hes using you either. Just because he does all those things it dont mean he like you, he just probably has a strong friend love over you. If he does like you he might be trying to avoid those conversations on that subject because he probably doesnt want to be in a relationship at the moment. but he probably spends all that time with you because he also doesnt want to be lonely.
