Whats the deal with Mono and drinking!? need help!?

I just found out that I had mono last month and am now recovering according to my bloodwork and my doctor. But last month i was heavily drinking and going out a lot because I am in college.. What could happen? And when can I drink again? And when do I stop being contagious?
